Just a quick update for the benefit of the children to say that the entry has been submitted. The car itself was Tash’s tweaked version of the car her and James put together on Monday afternoon. The other two team places on this occasion went to Kerys and Samuel who, despite the best efforts of the lunchtime gang, could not be overtaken for second place. What was pleasing is that the dozen or so children who had a go at improving their cars managed to do so!
The car itself was pretty much as good as it could be. We have modified the strategy though to a one-stop as this proved to be around 30 seconds faster over the course of a race than the best two stop strategy! This doesn’t happen very often and was really only the case for this race as it is only an hour long.
Fingers crossed then and I’ll post as soon as a hear anything!
